YesPlay’s current South African site identifies SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2013/016123/07, as the responsible company. Its terms, footer and regulations page display Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board bookmaker licence 10180204-013, issued on 26 November 2025. The National Gambling Board’s current verified-operator register lists the same legal name, trading name, licence number and Western Cape province. The public service covers sports and in-play betting, slots, lucky numbers, live games and BetGames.

Review status: Editorial draft checked against current first-party pages and the NGB verified-operator register on 8 September 2026. No score, recommendation or affiliate CTA is approved. The review still needs a named reviewer, hands-on account and cashier tests, direct licence-document capture, mobile-app inspection and final commercial approval.

Quick verdict

YesPlay exposes a useful evidence set for a private review. The contracting identity and licence number are consistent across its terms, regulations page, privacy policy and affiliate programme. The NGB register independently lists SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd trading as YesPlay under 10180204-013 in the Western Cape. The general terms are dated 16 February 2026, the rules are dated 23 April 2026 and the payout-limit page is dated 27 February 2026, making the public legal material relatively current.

The terms are specific about several payment rules. They state that ordinary withdrawals may require two business days’ notice for FICA and terms checks, that the minimum withdrawal is R100, that the whole value of a deposit must be wagered once before withdrawal, and that deposits and withdrawals must normally use accounts held in the registered customer’s name. A separate payout-limit page gives product-specific maximums and an aggregate R30 million daily net-winnings limit.

This is still not enough for a scored recommendation. BetExpert has not created or funded an account, verified the registration flow, checked the logged-in cashier, measured settlement or withdrawal timing, tested customer support, exercised self-exclusion, or inspected the Android package and iOS listing. The NGB register confirms the licence row, but the final publication pack should also retain the current WCGRB-issued licence document or a direct regulator capture showing the approved online domain and product scope.

The first-deposit offer has detailed live terms and can be normalized as a private bonus draft. It must remain unpublished while the operator is needs_review and while BetExpert lacks an approved affiliate account and click-tested destination.

Licence and operator identity

The current general terms say SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd t/a YesPlay is licensed by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board under bookmaker licence 10180204-013. The site’s regulations page says the licence was issued on 26 November 2025. The footer repeats that entity, licence number, issue date, 18+ restriction and responsible-gambling warning across the consumer pages checked.

The privacy policy supplies company registration 2013/016123/07 and identifies SA Sportsbook as the POPIA responsible party. The current contact page gives 80 Strand Street, Cape Town, Western Cape, 8001. The NGB register lists Office 01-121 WeWork at the same 80 Strand Street address, the same legal/trading name and the same licence number. Those matches materially strengthen the identity chain.

The NGB register is current regulator evidence, but it does not replace the operator’s actual licence certificate or establish every approved online product and URL condition. The final reviewer should capture the current WCGRB certificate or licence-holder record, verify that yesplay.bet is an approved destination, and retain the evidence date. The review must not imply that every game advertised on the site was independently tested or separately approved.

Registration and identity checks

The public sign-in page uses a mobile number and also advertises Google and Apple sign-in. The terms require a person to be at least 18 and able to enter a legally binding agreement. Customers must provide accurate information and may hold only one account. The service may request a South African identity document or passport, proof of address not older than three months and proof of bank ownership.

The terms identify enhanced checks for several patterns, including a deposit or withdrawal above R5,000, withdrawals totalling R25,000 or more over 30 days, the same bank account used across different YesPlay accounts, or an attempt to withdraw the same amount deposited without betting. These are published triggers, not a complete account-risk model.

A hands-on test must record every registration field, age and location control, marketing choice, social-login permission, identity result and document request. The reviewer should test only with owner-approved details and budget. BetExpert must not describe registration as instant or frictionless until the complete flow and a failed-verification path have been observed.

Deposits and payment ownership

The terms say YesPlay processes transactions in South African rand. They describe direct deposits to named SA Sportsbook bank accounts, credit and debit cards, Instant EFT and services such as Ozow. Card and financial-account ownership must match the registered YesPlay account. Deposits from a third party can trigger suspension or enhanced due diligence, while deposits returned to another person may incur a R120 administration fee.

The current first-deposit promotion accepts a longer list that includes vouchers, cards, Ozow, SnapScan, Zapper, Capitec Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay and other named methods. That is the eligible-method list for the offer, not proof that every method is always available to every account or that each shares the same cashier minimum.

The general cashier minimum was not confirmed in this pass. The R20 figure belongs to the welcome promotion. A hands-on deposit test must capture the actual logged-in method list, minimums and maximums, fees, authentication, allocation time, proof-of-payment flow and error handling on both desktop and mobile.

Withdrawals and one-times play-through

The terms state that funds requested for withdrawal are subject to two business days’ notice while YesPlay checks FICA and compliance. This is a review period in the legal text, not a measured end-to-end bank-arrival promise. The minimum withdrawal is R100, and withdrawals generally return to the same method used for the deposit or to an account held in the customer’s name.

The full value of a deposit must be wagered at least once before that amount can be withdrawn. This rule applies to ordinary deposited funds and should be prominent in any public review. It is separate from bonus wagering. Incorrect EFT details that cause a reversal may lead to a R120 fee, while the Instant Withdrawal option uses a voucher and PIN that the customer is expected to safeguard.

Hands-on testing must separate request submission, operator approval, voucher delivery where relevant and actual receipt. It must capture available methods, limits, fees, identity steps and messages for pending or rejected requests. No “instant” or “fast withdrawal” label is approved merely because a method carries that name.

Sportsbook and product range

The public navigation offers prematch and live sports, slots, lucky numbers, live dealer games and BetGames. Live pages expose sports such as soccer, rugby, cricket, tennis, basketball and several smaller categories. The rules page contains sport and provider material and was marked last updated on 23 April 2026.

The footer says all bets, including casino-style and slot products, operate under fixed-odds betting rules. That wording matters in South Africa, but BetExpert should present the products as the operator describes them rather than using generic remote-casino language without legal context.

A reviewer still needs to test event discovery, market depth, bet-slip clarity, decimal-odds changes, bet acceptance, cash out, settlement and live-market suspension. The test set should include local football, rugby and cricket alongside an international event. Product count and provider breadth must not become a quality score without testing navigation, stability and rule accessibility.

Payout limits

YesPlay publishes a dedicated payout-limit page under WCGRB Rule 37.1(b)(i). It states a maximum aggregate daily net-winnings payout of R30,000,000 per customer, measured by settlement date in South Africa Standard Time and capped across products. It also lists product-specific limits per bet or game round.

The page states R2,000,000 for sports prematch and live in-play, R2,000,000 for a lucky-numbers bet, and different maximums for provider/product groups. Examples include R30,000,000 for certain Habanero, Pragmatic Play and Evolution categories, R10,000,000 for Aviator, and lower caps for some BetGames and Game Media Works products.

These are legal maximum liabilities, not typical expected payouts and not evidence that a customer can stake to those theoretical amounts. Related bets may be aggregated and the global daily cap still applies. The final review should link the page, retain its revision date and avoid reproducing a long limit table that could become stale.

Legal-document quality and material clauses

The terms identify revision 2.10 and a last-updated date of 16 February 2026. They cover eligibility, account control, FICA, deposits, withdrawals, bet acceptance, settlement, errors, bonus abuse, disputes and support. The rulebook has its own April 2026 update, while the payout-limit page records revision 1.1 from February 2026.

Material clauses include YesPlay’s right to refuse a bet, correct obvious odds or handicap errors, correct previously processed results, and suspend payments or void bets where match fixing is suspected. Customers should retain transaction records and check the terms for updates. The server record prevails if the user interface and YesPlay server disagree.

These clauses should be summarized in plain language, not framed as an endorsement. The final fact-check should compare the live dates, capture any change log and confirm that the key payment and promotion clauses still match the product.

Privacy and data handling

The privacy policy identifies SA Sportsbook as the POPIA responsible party. It describes collection of identity, contact, address, banking, source-of-funds and betting-activity data. It may also process sensitive information such as financial details, biometric images and historical conduct used for risk assessment.

The policy says calls, internet communications, correspondence, betting transactions, withdrawals and profile information may be recorded. It describes sharing with service providers, identity and anti-money-laundering checks, regulator reporting and possible cross-border transfers under POPIA conditions. Customers can request access or correction and can object to processing or opt out of direct marketing, subject to legal and contractual retention requirements.

This is useful transparency, but the reviewer should still inspect real consent prompts, cookie choices, marketing defaults, social-login permissions and account-deletion routes. The review should not claim a privacy or security grade without that test.

Mobile web and apps

YesPlay publishes a mobile page with an Android APK route and instructions to search for an iOS app in Apple’s App Store. The page promotes push notifications and compatibility across mobile devices. These are first-party claims rather than independent install or security evidence.

The Android test should capture the final download URL, file size, package name, version, signer, requested permissions and update channel. The iOS test should verify the exact App Store publisher and regional availability. Both should be checked in a controlled environment. BetExpert should not repeat broad claims about encryption, seamless use or app safety until those checks are complete.

Mobile-web QA should separately cover navigation, sportsbook filters, live markets, bet slip, cashier, account tools, help content, cookie controls and keyboard focus at a narrow viewport.

Support and complaints

The current contact page exposes live chat, a published email route, telephone 087 250 0575 and the 80 Strand Street Cape Town address. The terms say customer support is available seven days a week and identify [email protected] plus website live chat as the only official support channels for account, technical and dispute matters.

The privacy page lists [email protected] and the same telephone number for privacy concerns during weekday office hours. Payment disputes are directed to [email protected] in the terms. The final public review should distinguish those purposes and should not send users to an affiliate contact for consumer support.

Support quality remains untested. The reviewer should ask a neutral question through chat and email, record queue and response times, verify whether the reply matches the terms, and capture the escalation path to the WCGRB where appropriate.

Responsible-gambling controls

The responsible-gambling policy publishes the National Responsible Gambling Programme helpline 0800 006 008 and WhatsApp “HELP” contact 076 675 0710. It says customers may contact YesPlay support for self-exclusion and describes temporary suspension for one to three months or permanent self-exclusion for six months.

During exclusion, the policy says the account cannot accept deposits or bets and marketing notifications should stop. It also says account funds are returned in a permanent self-exclusion case. Customers can view balance, betting, deposit and withdrawal history after signing in.

The policy itself says it was last updated on 24 October 2022 even though the current footer carries the 2025 licence issue statement. That does not make the policy invalid, but it is an age and versioning issue worth recording. Hands-on testing must verify whether limits are available, how exclusion is authenticated, when it takes effect, whether pending withdrawals continue and whether marketing actually stops.

Welcome bonus terms

The live promotions page presents a 100% first-deposit bonus up to R3,000. The customer must accept the offer and deposit at least R20 within seven days of registration. The bonus equals 100% of the first eligible deposit and is capped at R3,000. The modal lists eligible methods and says the deposit and bonus remain in the bonus account until the wagering requirement is completed or failed.

The wagering requirement is 7 times the sum of the deposit and bonus within seven days after accepting the offer. For a R20 deposit plus R20 bonus, the modal’s example requires R280 in qualifying turnover. Only settled win or loss bets count. A previous account holder opening a new account is not eligible, and the offer cannot be combined with other YesPlay promotions.

Sports and live-sports bets need odds of at least 3.1 to contribute. Lucky Numbers need odds of at least 2.95, and BetGames need at least 1.5. Provider contributions are reduced: BetGames and Slots 10%, Ezugi and Pragmatic Play 3%, and Evolution 2%. The terms cap bonus-derived funds available for withdrawal after completion at R30,000.

Those conditions materially change the headline value and must sit next to it. The offer is current enough to create a structured private record, but the promotions page uses a modal rather than a stable offer-specific terms URL or visible revision label. BetExpert should recapture it on every review date and keep the record needs_review until the operator and commercial gates are cleared.

Affiliate programme

The consumer footer links directly to YesPlay Affiliates at yesplayaffiliates.com. That site identifies SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd, WCGRB licence 10180204-013 and [email protected]. It describes revenue share up to 50%, CPA, flat-fee and hybrid arrangements, an assigned manager, an official contract, reporting and several payout options.

These programme claims establish that an affiliate route exists and align with the consumer operator’s entity and licence. They do not establish BetExpert approval, the contract actually offered to this site, the permitted traffic sources, negative carry-over, payment thresholds, campaign availability or a tracking destination.

The existing WordPress /go/yesplay/ route is inventory evidence only. No live CTA should use it until the owner confirms the affiliate account, accepted terms and campaign; the final link is generated from the approved dashboard; and a click test records the redirect chain, final domain, sub-ID and disclosure state.

Cautions

  • The current WCGRB certificate or direct domain/product-scope capture is not yet in the evidence pack.
  • Registration, verification, cashier behavior, withdrawal receipt and settlement remain untested.
  • The responsible-gambling policy shows a 2022 last-updated date.
  • The Android APK and iOS listing have not been inspected.

  • Support response quality and real self-exclusion behavior are untested.
  • No owner-approved affiliate account or tracking URL has been supplied.

Score

Withheld. YesPlay has a consistent public identity and a comparatively detailed legal evidence set, but the hands-on, licence-document, app and commercial tests required by BetExpert’s methodology are incomplete.
