Quick verdict
Apex Bets offers pre-match and live sports, casino and live-casino products. It publishes unusually detailed general withdrawal rules and complete conditions for its five-deposit welcome package. The strongest caution is documentation consistency: the live footer and current NGB row show licence 10194002-002, while the terms page still prints 10194002-001. The review preserves that mismatch rather than silently correcting the operator’s document.
Legal identity and licence
The live footer identifies Letsbet (Pty) Ltd trading as Apex Bets, registration number 2023/963735/07, at 33 Beach Road, Gordons Bay, Western Cape. It says Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board licence 10194002-002 was issued on 26 November 2025. The NGB verified-operators register carries the same trading name and licence number.
The operator’s general terms still refer to licence 10194002-001. Because licence suffixes may identify a particular certificate period or scope, BetExpert does not treat the difference as a harmless typo. The aligned footer and register support a public profile, but the terms page needs correction or an explanation from Apex Bets.
Account opening and FICA
The terms say FICA verification is required before account creation. Requested information includes the customer’s name, identity or passport number, email address, mobile number and source of funds. Identity and address documents may be required, and payment details must belong to the registered customer.
BetExpert still needs to test document upload, automated verification, source-of-funds prompts, failure handling and completion time. We will also record the exact legal entity and licence shown during signup. Until that work is done, the rating remains withheld.
Sportsbook and casino
The current product menu includes Casino, Live Casino, Sports and Live Sports. Public availability is confirmed, but usability and value are not scored. A full sportsbook test will compare event coverage, market depth, odds, bet limits, in-play delay, cash out and settlement. Casino testing will focus on navigation and transparency rather than implying that game quantity improves a customer’s expected outcome.
Deposits and withdrawals
The general terms state a R0.60 minimum online bet and a R100 minimum deposit. They require customers to wager the full deposit once before withdrawing and say at least one deposit must have been made. Payment accounts must be in the customer’s name; proof of banking and identity may be requested.
Apex Bets says it will effect a withdrawal transfer within 72 business hours after confirming that the funds are available, with bank delivery taking additional time. Because that label is unclear, BetExpert reproduces it without guessing whether it means casino or another product. Roulette, Bac Bo, Sic Bo, crash, virtual and baccarat play is excluded. The bonus expires seven days after activation and the maximum payout is three times the bonus. New-customer, household, IP and early-withdrawal restrictions also apply.
The offer can appear in BetExpert’s live feed because the principal conditions are public and captured, but customers should confirm what “Odd Betting Conditions” means with support before choosing that route.
Support and safer gambling
