Quick verdict
Lulabet has enough current public evidence for a factual South African operator profile. The principal limitation is operational evidence. Lulabet’s public marketing describes cards, EFT and local payment options, but the logged-out pages do not provide a complete, dependable cashier matrix with current minimums, maximums, fees and withdrawal timelines. Lulabet identifies the operator as Lula Bets (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2018/557108/07, trading as LulaBet. Its registered address is given as Second Floor, 65 Castle Street, Cape Town.
The current NGB verified-operators register lists Lula Bets (Pty) Ltd trading as Lulabets under Western Cape bookmaker licence 10190073-005. Lulabet’s public footer displays the same licence number and says it was issued on 31 May 2025 by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. The terms page states that bets are accepted under the bookmaker licence and treated as placed and received in South Africa. Company, brand and licence evidence therefore align for this source-checked profile.
Registration and FICA
The registration route is restricted to adults. The current sports welcome terms say identity numbers are checked automatically during registration and that Lulabet may request a copy of a valid identity document when automatic verification does not succeed. That is useful public evidence, but it does not establish the complete FICA workflow or how long manual checks take.
A hands-on review must record every registration field, mobile and email verification, password rules, marketing choices, accepted legal-document versions and the evidence required for identity, address and payment ownership. Personal documents should not be uploaded solely for editorial testing without owner approval and a defined retention process.
Sportsbook and mobile experience
The public platform presents pre-match and in-play betting across soccer, tennis, basketball, rugby, cricket, golf, boxing, MMA, motorsport and other sports. Product availability does not prove product quality. Current sports registration promotion
The official Lulabet sports promotion page, marked 26 June 2026, offers a R250 sports free bet to a new South African account that deposits at least R250 within seven days of registration and then places a real-money sports bet of at least R250 at decimal odds of 2.00 or higher. The free bet is credited after that qualifying bet settles.
The R250 free bet must be used as one whole pre-match sports bet within seven days. Table-tennis bets, cashed-out bets and partially cashed-out bets do not qualify. The free-bet stake is not returned with winnings, and the published terms say the free bet must be turned over once before winnings can be withdrawn. One account is allowed per player, household, device, IP address, email and banking detail.
This is materially different from the older R50 landing-page claim previously held in the BetExpert draft. The structured offer has therefore been replaced with the current, dated R250 promotion instead of combining incompatible headlines.
Support and complaints
The site provides a contact destination and advertises chat. The current promotion terms direct unresolved disputes to the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. No support interaction has been timed for this review, so response speed and escalation quality remain unscored.
